Dear Participants,
Congratulations for taking part in the Red Run Day on Sunday, 5th November 2023, in honour of Remembrance Day. We extend a warm welcome to all of you who will run, jog, or walk to honour the brave men and women who have served our country. This event plays a crucial role in providing stigma-free mental wellness support services for Queensland Veterans and Frontline personnel through Trek2Health.
Fundraising Event Details
Date: Sunday, 5th November 2023
Start/Finish Location: Trek2Health Headquarters, Enoggera Reservoir, just off Waterworks Road, THE GAP
Registration: from 0630–0715 inside the Trek House. Please try to arrive with enough time to register and and pick up your race bib before the ceremony.
Welcome Ceremony: 0730
8.5km Event starts right after the ceremony and is expected to take walkers about 2 hours to complete due to hilly terrain.
The event will not be timed.
Fundraising Requirements
The ticket price is complementary as we aim to make this event accessible to all.
Each trekker has a minimum fundraising goal of $50 to enter this fundraising event. Fundraising pages will be open for a couple of weeks after the trek if you need to collect pledges.
Rewards await the top fundraisers who go above and beyond in their efforts to support our cause. The cut off time to earn fundraiser rewards is midnight on Saturday night.
Participant Benefits
All participants will receive a Race Bib, Red Run Medal, and a Trek2Health Bandana.
After the event: Enjoy real coffee and a complimentary BBQ courtesy of Ashgrove The Gap Lions Club.
Important Race Day Information
For safety reasons, bikes, scooters, roller blades, skates, or skateboards are not permitted on the course. Dogs and other animals are also strictly prohibited. Prams are not recommended due to uneven terrain.
Drink stations will be positioned at the half way point. We encourage participants to carry a drink bottle to stay hydrated. Experienced support staff will be available at several points throughout the Trek for assistance.

The event will proceed even if there is rain. Please bring a raincoat. A little rain is always lots of fun and will help you stay cool! 🙂

Directions to Trek2Health Headquarters – 40 metres up from The Gap BCC bus parking area on Waterworks Road.
Continue up Waterworks Rd from the city, and the entrance road on your left will lead you to The Gap Park ‘n’ Ride parking area. A short 40-meter walk will take you to the Trek House.
Additional parking is available at Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre, a 100-meter walk from the Trek House. Please see the map below for parking details.
Public transport is available nearby (bus route 385, embark at the final stop: The Gap park ‘n’ ride, Enoggera Reservoir).
