In honour of Remembrance Day – Lest we Forget

Honour the brave men and women who served our country by taking part in the Red Run Day on Sunday 10th of November 2024. 

Red Run Day is a 8.5km trail run, jog & walk around the forested shores of picturesque Enoggera Reservoir on wide fire trails, with some rough terrain, spectacular bush scenery and plenty of eucalypt-scented fresh air. Registration and welcome ceremony at Trek2Health Headquarters. Funds raised provide stigma-free mental wellness support services for QLD Veterans and Frontline personnel via Trek2Health.

We trek to support our Australian frontline workers and veterans in recognition of their extraordinary contribution to our community.​

Trek2Health’s mission is to provide support for the health and well-being of the Emergency Services and Veteran communities. We provide a supportive and stigma-free environment to boost the mental and physical resilience of our clients via Green Exercise Training – team-orientated wilderness treks, in order to create healthier individuals and more productive and compassionate communities.

First Responders are exposed to unimaginable experiences in their professional services. ​

We believe we should and can DO MORE to support the health and well being of these extraordinary individuals who risk their own safety to be there for us when we need help the most.​

For every $1,000.00 raised by community trek fundraisers,  Trek2Health will be able to assist one extraordinary Australian frontline worker or veteran achieve greater physical and mental resilience. ​

Our new system uses verification codes for security (no password needed).

  • To register: simply click “register” then input your email or phone, grab the verification code from your phone/email, input the code, then fill out the registration form and click “create my page”. 
  • Please use a unique email and phone number for each registration or email us for assistance. 
  • If you need help contact support@trek2health.org.au
  • Supporterhub is Trek2Health’s official fundraising platform, you will see their logo on some emails. Registrations and fundraising pages are hosted securely on supporterhub; the URL for these pages starts with https://drct-trek2health.prod.supporterhub.net/

After registration, you will land on your fundraising page, click the button “Teams” then select the team you wish to join or you can start your own team. Joining a team is optional.

Team Captains: you will get an SMS message and an email when someone requests to join your team.
To approve the new member: go to your team page (if you have logged out in your browser, then click “login” with a new verification code)
now click on Team then click “Accept” to approve the new team member.

On your fundraising page while logged in:

  • To update your display name, goal amount or profile pic click “Edit Profile”, make changes, then click “Save”
  • To update your personal story click “My Story”, make changes, then click “Save” and you can add a photo to your story if you wish.

Send us the changes and we can update your page for you.

We will email your fundraising page URL to you, after you register. We will also send you a welcome SMS message with your fundraising page URL.

You can also copy your link from your fundraising page – click “Share”.

Community Event – all Brisbane area community members, trail runners and bushwalkers are welcome.

INVOKE THE AUSTRALIAN SPIRIT OF SERVICE – ENDURANCE – MATESHIP – COURAGE – SACRIFICE

Please register soon and invite your friends, as numbers are limited. The ticket is complimentary, and each participant in this event has a fundraising goal of $50, which supports mental wellness services for Queensland veterans and frontline personnel.

Remembrance Day Trek2Health Community Event

Red Run Day 2024 consists of an 8.5km run/jog/walk on wide fire trails, around the picturesque Enoggera Reservoir and will take approximately 2 hours. This outstanding Trek offers a few short, sharp hills along the way that may test you, but the Trek delivers some of Brisbane’s best bush landscape and lake views. 

Our experienced support staff – who have operated in these D’Aguilar ranges for over 15 years – to offer their support at several stations throughout the Trek, should you need water or support. Participants can also request support between these stations, as we have a team of Medical professionals roaming the route in 4×4 vehicles.

All participants receive Race Bib, Red Run Medal and Trek2Health Bandana.
Red Run Day participants receive full support from our trek crew. After the event: real coffee and complimentary BBQ courtesy of Ashgrove The Gap Lions Club.

We trek to raise funds to support our QLD Frontline Workers and Veterans

Your Commitment

Immediately after registration, you’ll receive an online fundraising page to collect donations from your sponsors. To reach and surpass your fundraising goal you only need to find 5 sponsors to each donate $10 in support of your commitment to complete this challenge. Or fundraise your own way – hold a BBQ, or bake cookies. Contact us if you need assistance with your fundraising idea.

Funds raised from Red Run Day help Trek2Health provide ongoing support to First Responders and Emergency Services personal such as police officers, firefighters, EMTs and veterans in our communities. 

Building Resilience via Green Exercise – through our innovative green exercise resilience training delivered by experienced medics and personal trainers, Trek2Health provides professional integrated support to assist First Responders to Emergency Services personal who may have experienced a traumatic event, be suffering from PTSD, be struggling to re-enter the community or require professional services for any reason.
