Dear Participants,
As we approach the Midnight to Dawn ANZAC Service Trek (24–25 April 2026), please take a moment to review the final event details outlined in your handbook and summarised below.
Key Timings & Movements
- 2300 (Friday 24 April): Arrive at Anzac Memorial, Walton Bridge Reserve, The Gap – Registration opposite at shop fronts
- 2325: Bus departs for ANZAC Square (no late arrivals)
- 0010: Trek commences from ANZAC Square
- 0530: (Saturday 25 April): Arrival at Anzac Memorial, Walton Bridge Reserve, The Gap, for Dawn Servic
- Post Service: Breakfast provided (bacon/egg roll & coffee) – Café Tara in shopping area 30metres from dawn service – please collect your fundraising rewards here.
This is a 20km controlled group trek, walking together at a steady pace under the guidance of Trek Leaders and supported by medics throughout the route.
MANDATORY EQUIPMENT – CRITICAL
All participants must be fully prepared as per the Trek Handbook.
Most Important Requirement:
Head torch (compulsory for all participants)
This is a night trek, and without a head torch you will not be permitted to start.
Additional key items include:
- Proven trekking shoes/boots (no runners or casual footwear)
- Hydration (minimum 2L capacity)
- Personal snacks for a 5-hour trek
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Mobile phone (fully charged)
- Personal medical items

Final Notes
- You must remain between the front and rear Trek Leaders at all times
- This is a team-based, controlled pace event – no independent movement
- Ensure you have completed your preparation and are physically ready
