Trek2Health is inviting expressions of interest for In Your Eyes, a photography and storytelling project honouring Queensland veterans who have served overseas with the Australian Defence Force.
The project will recognise service, sacrifice, resilience and lived experience through professional portrait photography and short personal reflections. Selected portraits and stories will contribute to a curated exhibition and a high-quality photo book, with launch events planned for Remembrance Day 2026 and ANZAC Day 2027.
Eligible participants must have served overseas as part of the Australian Defence Force and be permanently residing in Queensland as of 1 January 2026.
If selected to proceed, participants will be invited to take part in a professional portrait session of approximately 20 minutes and provide a short service summary and personal reflection of up to 50 words each. Participants may also bring a personal item or memento to include in their portrait where appropriate.
The final project may include a published photo book, gallery exhibition, launch events, future promotion and related materials. Participation does not guarantee inclusion in the final exhibition or publication.
Participants who proceed will receive a full participant guide and consent form before their session is confirmed. Only a participant’s first name and home location will be displayed publicly unless otherwise agreed.
