FOREST FOOTSTEPS

Location: Trek2Health Headquarters, 1434 Waterworks Road, The Gap
On Sunday, 12th June, Trek2Health is hosting Forest Footsteps, a forest adventure in support of stigma-free mental wellness services for our Old Frontline Workers and Veterans. It’s the perfect excuse to relax and unwind in the calming forest-fresh air, while connecting with community in support of a great cause. Enjoy a self-guided nature walk in the beautiful D’Aguilar National Park, or drop in to the festival village and buy a cool drink/coffee, sausage sizzle or a raffle ticket. Every small contribution from our local community in support of our cause is greatly appreciated.
  • Forest Footseps nature walks all day: collect your map from the Trek House.
  • Buy a cool drink, coffee, raffle ticket, burger or sausage sizzle all day
  • Wine & beer from 12-6pm and live music.
  • Art Classes for kids and adults
  • Local Artists Exhibition in the Trek House
  • Special Guests: Horses (for viewing only) in recognition of their service to our soldiers and famers and building the Enoggera Reservoir. 🙂 Check this page for times and updates.

Strictly No Dogs permitted in National Park or festival, please leave pets at home.

Trek House is the historic Enoggera Reservoir Caretaker’s cottage next to the spillway. Festival parking at The Gap Park ‘n’Ride parking area. From here it’s a short 40 metre walk to the Festival. Additional parking at Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre, a 100 metre walk from the Festival.

Forest Footseps nature walks:

We’re making nature walking just as much fun as the adventure challenges you see on Survivor, except right here in The Gap and everyone who completes the walk is a winner. Specially marked trails FOR ONE DAY ONLY, pick up your map at Trek House first.

TREK TIPS
For maximum fun, invite your friends/family to join your walking team. Walking trails suitable for ages 5 and up; wear sturdy walking shoes and a hat, 2 or more mobile phones per group recommended. Our expert trek support crew will be onsite to ensure your forest adventure is fantastic.

  • Collect your Forest Footsteps Map at the Trek House
  • select your Forest Footsteps trail from 1km–8.5km
  • complete your challenge by following the coded signs in the Forest, get your map stamped then return to the Trek House to WIN your prize, (some prizes have limited numbers, walk early for best prizes).

Trek2Health is hosting this fundraising trek event as it important to support those who have sacrificed their physical and mental well-being for a safer community. Funds raised allow Trek2Health to provide stigma-free mental wellness services to our local First Responders and Emergency Services personal such as firefighters, EMTs, veterans and police officers.
