Trek2Health Ambassador

LT COL (Retd) Dr Andrew W Grieve FACRRM FACTM FCMI

Senior Medical Officer, Emergency Medicine/GP
Andy has just retired from F/T Australian Regular Army service after a 24 year career which has spanned 3 continents and 40+ countries. He is a current rural & remote physician (Emergency) holding portfolio appointments across private practice (BNE), academia (UQ) and medical management (MNHHS).

He is an internationally recognised expert on deployable health, remote and austere medical support, and medical leadership. A country boy at heart, his passion for outdoor medicine comes from operational tours with UKSF (counterterrorism), Gurkhas (Jungle warfare) and high-altitude military expeditionary support (Nepal, Africa). He is trained mountain leader.

A proud husband, father, Gap resident, and outdoorsman, he is a strong advocate for strengthening mental health (particularly men’s) and wellbeing (particularly in frontline workers).

He is a new Ambassador of Trek2Health. He supports the charity operationally (clinically) when required.
